COOKING CLASS (tour below): Join a Michelin Star-trained Chef and award-winning food writer/scholar (Travel+Leisure, Slow Food, Oxford) for a hybrid cooking class and 4-course tasting menu. Each course will tell the savory story of a different Montreal food culture - Caribbean, Asian, Quebecois, or Persian. But this is not your normal follow-a-recipe affair. Rather, guests will learn as professionals do and collaborate with the host on 3 courses, learning the professional techniques and conceptspbehind creating bold flavors and beautiful plates- for example, searing, pan-roasting, sauce making, and plating. The class is a luxury experience. Guests can add a matching 3-4 glass wine tasting of artisanal vintners and craft cider/beer at market price. Private and corporate options and extra courses available on request. There is an option to do the class in a Master/Top Chef format as a teamwork challenge.
The Farmer’s Market, Rare Fruits, + Street Foods: Curated down to the bite by our Supper Club’s Michelin-trained chef and global award-winning food writer, this tour will take diners on a behind-the-scenes walk and food adventure through North America’s largest daily farmer’s market, Jean Talon. You will learn of its cultural history and eat street foods and farm products from some of our most historic culinary communities and the very stores the top restaurants shop at. This includes Roman street food, North African home specialties, rare Asian and South American fruits, and local cheesemaker and craft pastry products. We will finish with a Quebec farmhouse cheese tasting and a platter from a master charcuterie maker trained in Europe. We will also take you shopping for gifts such as artisan pate, craft beer, single-garden teas from a Michelin- star supplier, and more. In-tour regional French wine tasting can be added at extra cost

EDIBLE OTHER (EO)
EO is a private dining pop-up that cooks ‘narrative’ tasting menus exploring the cuisines behind the global culinary communities of Montreal, presented with modern bistro flair and flavor. Only 2-10 seats are available at any time - though private groups of up to 20 are possible - and the Michelin Star-trained Chef cooks, serves, and discusses the food cultures, flavors, and histories behind each dish. The meal takes place at an open gallery-style loft in an 1800’s building amidst the historic Old Port. Edible Other also offers cooking classes, culinary tours of Montreal, and bespoke private dinners and private parties. All allergies and personalized menus are possible.
THE CHEF
Food has been the center of my life for almost three decades. I launched my first restaurant pop-up as a high school junior and then began traveling the world in search of flavor. I believe food has a unique ability to connect people, transcend culture, and create lasting memories. It is sensual and emotional, delicious and fun. Food is my way of telling stories - about places and people and senses. Just a bit about me: as a writer, I was nominated as World’s Best Food Journalist while the Asia editor for Travel+Leisure, Gourmet, and Wallpaper. As a consultant and Chef, I have worked with generational talents like Michelin 3-star chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Australia’s Neil Perry, and Top Chef winner Harold Dieterle. I’ve developed 60+ restaurants and luxury hotels in the US, UK, EU, and Asia, including some of the world’s top brands (W Bangkok and Seoul, Fullerton Bay Singapore, Corinthia London). I truly hope my cooking can bring a few dollops and moments of joy - or more - into your life, all the better when shared with others
.
Deliciously Yours,
Chef R.
